✨ What would you say if someone told you there are no women in leadership or on stage at industry conferences — simply because they “don’t exist”?
That’s exactly what happened to Sofia Forsling five years ago. Her response? She created a list of the most powerful women in automotive to prove that visibility matters. Just because you don’t see them, doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
And that’s the point about potential: we often know people who look like us, think like us, and in business, men often know other men. Without visibility, talent and potential remain hidden.
🚗 This year the list celebrated its 4th anniversary, with an amazing event hosted by MRF and Bilia. Deerdata has had the pleasure of joining many times — as speakers, participants, and this year together with our customer Volkswagen. We were especially proud to nominate Gunilla Thorén as Banbrytare. She didn’t win, but being on the list is itself an achievement worth celebrating.
👏 A big congratulations to Anna Nordqvist, a fantastic leader and friend, who won the category. Anna is CEO of Svenska Bilsportförbundet and in 2022 became the first woman in Europe elected to the board of the FIA – Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile.
